Emanuele Giorgi

Emanuele is a Senior Lecturer in Biostatistics and the current Head of CHICAS. He joined CHICAS in October 2012 for a PhD in Statistics and Epidemiology under the supervision of Peter Diggle. After completing his PhD in 2015, he was awarded an MRC Fellowship in Biostatistics which was turned into a Lectureship in July 2018.

His research interests lie in the development of novel spatial and spatio-temporal statistical methods for disease mapping with a special focus on malaria and neglected tropical diseases.
