Laura Michelle White

Laura completed a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences from Newcastle University in 2008, followed by a PhD at the University of Leeds in 2013. Her PhD focused on characterizing the interactions of adenovirus proteins with the host cell nucleus. She went on to obtain a postgraduate medical degree from the University of Birmingham in 2019. After completing Foundation Training in Liverpool and Internal Medicine Training in Manchester, she secured a post as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Neurology in 2024.

Laura’s current interests include the use of big data and Artificial Intelligence to improve longitudinal data collection and identify health inequalities in patients with neuromuscular disorders.
