Sam Moore
Sam joined Lancaster and CHICAS in 2022 as a biostatistics lecturer. Following an undergraduate degree in Edinburgh, he went on to gain a PhD at the University of Bath for work on the spread of infections on networks with Professor Tim Rogers.
Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic Sam worked as a Research fellow alongside Professor Matt Keeling at the University of Warwick; here he produced modelling work that helped to shape the UK's pandemic response, informing vaccine prioritisation and the roadmap out of lockdown.
Sam’s research interests lie in the mathematical modelling of infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on the impact of vaccination.
