Keira Markey

Keira is a NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Neurology. She holds a Masters degree in Neuroscience and Molecular Biology with UMIST/University of Manchester and a postgraduate medical degree with the University of Warwick. Her PhD focussed on Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and the impact of a novel therapeutic in an early phase drug trial at the University of Birmingham.

Her current interests have broadened to evaluate trends in headache conditions using national datasets and routinely collected patient data, in particular looking at health inequalities in headache. She is currently involved in developing health digital tools to improve self-management, triage and clinical management of patients with neurological conditions.
